So, you’ve signed up for your first pole class at Pole Paradise — yay! Whether you’re starting your pole journey or leveling up your skills, being prepared helps you feel confident, safe, and ready to move.
Here’s your complete guide on what to wear, what to bring, and what to leave at home when you come to class!
👚 What to Wear
Pole dancing requires skin contact with the pole for grip, so clothing choice really matters.
Tops: A comfortable tank top, crop top, or sports bra works best. You’ll want something that allows freedom of movement and exposes the midsection for better pole contact.
Bottoms: Pole shorts or biker shorts are ideal — your skin helps you grip and climb the pole safely.
Bare feet or pole heels:
For most pole classes, barefoot is perfectly fine.
For sensual classes like Flowmotion and Seductive Secrets, heels are highly recommended — they help with flow, posture, and expression.
Optional layers: For warm-up or cool-down, bring leggings or a loose tee — you can always shed layers once it’s time to dance.
✨ Most importantly, wear whatever makes you feel sexy, strong, and comfortable. Your confidence is your best outfit!
🚫 What Not to Wear
To keep you and our equipment safe, please avoid:
Lotions or body oils before class — they make the pole slippery and unsafe for everyone.
Jewelry such as rings, bracelets, watches, or anklets — these can scratch or damage the pole.
Outside shoes — we keep our floors and poles clean! Please remove shoes before entering the pole area.
🎒 What to Bring
A few essentials will make your experience even better:
Water bottle: Stay hydrated!
Grip aid (optional): Products like Dry Hands can help a lot, especially if your hands get sweaty or you’re still building grip strength.
Towel or cloth: Perfect for wiping sweat or cleaning your pole during class.
Positive energy: Every pole journey is unique — come ready to challenge yourself, have fun, and cheer others on!
🧽 Cleanliness & Studio Etiquette
At Pole Paradise, we take pride in keeping our space fresh and welcoming.
Poles and yoga mats are wiped down with alcohol after every use.
The studio is swept and mopped regularly with hot, soapy water.
No outside shoes are permitted inside the studio.
We love creating a safe, supportive, and empowering space for everyone to move freely and express themselves — and following these tips helps keep it that way!
